The Bar 7 Ranch, located in Meeker, Colorado, is committed to supplying all natural, grass-fed and finished, hormone and antibiotic-free beef to health and quality conscious individuals who desire an enjoyable and flavorful alternative to standard commodity meat products.
Building on generations of ranching expertise (family owned and operated since 1864), we tend our cattle with humane, low stress methods to maximize their health and nutrition. We use grazing techniques that mimic the way nature used to do it, changing pastures frequently, allowing our grass to rest and re-grow.
Our Black Angus/Hereford Cross cattle spend their days grazing thousands of acres of open spaces and are allowed to mature at their natural rate. During the winter months, our cattle eat only pasture and ranch raised stored forage (hay). Bar 7 Beef are never confined to crowded and unsanitary feed yards. They live peaceful and natural lives.
By managing our herd as a closed herd, the Bar 7 Ranch has eliminated the potential of importing diseases. Our calves are born and raised at home, are processed locally, and then dry aged (14 21 days) to ensure taste and tenderness. When you taste our delicious, tender, and juicy USDA inspected beef, you can be assured that you and your family are receiving the best nutrition and healthiest food available.
Unfortunately, we must limit production in order to maintain top quality. As the Bar 7 Ranch grass-finishes their beef on natural, mountain spring grasses, purchases can only be made one time per year. This allows us to harvest animals while they are on the gain, maximizing the healthy grass fed benefits.
Bar 7 Beef can be purchased by the whole or half and customized to your personal specifications. Feel free to contact us to discuss any questions you might have.
